Since graduating as a vet in the 90's, Dr Tanya Meares has seen the benefit of mixing integrative and traditional veterinary medicine. Frustrated by her inability to help certain conditions in her own animals and others, she began looking at more holistic health options. She completed the IVAS course in Acupuncture and then qualified in Equine Massage. Realising that in horses, nothing resolves while hooves are uncomfortable, she trained as both a barefoot trimmer and in traditional farrier techniques. She has studied in small animal Chinese Herbal Therapy and Nutrition and currently works in Western Victoria.
