Herbal support for dogs with hot, reactive or inflammatory patterns affecting the skin, immune system or peripheral tissues.

Best suited for:

  • Dogs with hot, red or reactive skin patterns
  • Dogs who become itchy, inflamed or uncomfortable during seasonal or environmental change
  • Dogs with exaggerated inflammatory or immune responses
  • Dogs who worsen with heat or excessive warming support

May not be ideal for:

  • Cold, deficient or low-energy dogs
  • Dogs with poor appetite, lethargy or pale tongue patterns
  • Dogs who become weaker or less comfortable with cooling support

Important note

Not all inflammatory or immune patterns are the same. In some dogs, ongoing itch, inflammation or immune dysregulation may reflect a need for a different herbal approach. If unsure, veterinary or telehealth guidance may help refine formula selection.

How it Works

Immunobalm is a botanical formulation designed to support balanced immune regulation and skin comfort in dogs experiencing hot, reactive or inflammatory patterns.

A healthy immune system relies on appropriate regulation — responding when needed while remaining proportionate and controlled. In some dogs, this balance becomes exaggerated or dysregulated, leading to excessive inflammatory reactivity, particularly within the skin, blood and peripheral tissues.

These dogs often present with patterns of heat, redness, itchiness, irritation or inflammatory flare-ups that may worsen during seasonal or environmental change. Some may also become more reactive or uncomfortable with excessive warming support.

Immunobalm is formulated to support immune equilibrium rather than overstimulation. Its focus is on helping regulate inflammatory responses while maintaining normal protective function, making it particularly suited to dogs where calming excessive heat and inflammatory reactivity is a priority.

Dogs who may particularly suit this approach

Immunobalm is commonly used in:

  • Dogs with hot, red or reactive skin patterns
  • Dogs with waxing and waning inflammatory presentations
  • Dogs showing exaggerated immune or inflammatory responses
  • Dogs who worsen with heat or excessive warming support
  • Dogs experiencing seasonal inflammatory or skin flare-ups

In dogs with allergic or reactive skin disease, Immunobalm is sometimes used alongside Cessorex where excessive heat, redness or inflammatory reactivity are also present.

Integrative support

Immunobalm is commonly used alongside integrative approaches including fresh food diets, environmental management and veterinary-guided wellbeing programs.

Important considerations

Herbal formulas are generally very well tolerated when appropriately matched to the individual dog. Occasionally a formula may not suit a particular patient, with the dog showing signs that a different approach may be needed. These signs vary between individuals and may include changes such as digestive upset, reduced appetite, lethargy or increased coldness. If this occurs, reduce the dose or discontinue use. Signs typically resolve after stopping the formula. In many cases, this simply provides further information that another herbal approach may be more appropriate for your dog’s individual pattern or presentation. If unsure, a veterinary or telehealth consultation may help guide formula selection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Immunobalm be used with corticosteroids or other immune medications?

Yes. Immunobalm is commonly used alongside corticosteroids, antibiotics and other integrative therapies as part of a broader management approach. Many dogs use the formula while gradually working toward improved immune regulation and reduced inflammatory reactivity over time.

How long does Immunobalm usually take to work?

Most dogs that are a good match for Immunobalm will show an overall improvement within around 2 weeks. Progress is not always linear, and not every symptom necessarily improves at the same rate, but there should generally be noticeable positive change overall.

If little or no improvement is seen after 2 weeks, the formula may not be the best fit for your dog’s individual pattern or presentation.

When the formula is well matched, improvement often continues over time before eventually reaching a plateau. At that stage, some dogs may maintain well on a lower dose, while others may benefit from combining with or transitioning to a different formula as their pattern changes.

What types of dogs tend to suit Immunobalm best?

Immunobalm is often suited to dogs showing excessive inflammatory or immune reactivity — particularly dogs that run “hot”, become red or inflamed easily, or show exaggerated inflammatory responses affecting the skin, blood or immune system.

Can Immunobalm be combined with other herbal formulas?

Yes. Immunobalm is commonly paired with other formulas depending on the individual pattern. It is frequently used alongside Cessorex in dogs with allergic skin disease where increased peripheral circulation from Cessorex may temporarily aggravate redness, heat or itchiness. Immunobalm may help moderate this excessive inflammatory response while allowing the underlying regulatory work of Cessorex to continue.

Can Immunobalm make some dogs worse?

Occasionally yes. Immunobalm is a strongly cooling formula and may not suit cold, weak or deficient dogs. Some dogs may show worsening lethargy, digestive slowing, reduced appetite or increased weakness if the formula is not appropriately matched. If symptoms worsen, reduce the dose or discontinue use.

Does my dog need to be fed a fresh food diet for Immunobalm to work?

No. Immunobalm may still provide benefit in dogs eating kibble or processed diets. However, many integrative veterinarians find that reducing dietary inflammatory load and improving microbiome diversity helps improve long-term outcomes in inflammatory and immune-mediated conditions.

Can Immunobalm be used long term?

Yes. Immunobalm is commonly used as part of integrative management plans for dogs with inflammatory or immune-mediated conditions. Once stability is achieved, many dogs can reduce the dose, use the formula intermittently or discontinue it altogether, particularly if the underlying inflammatory pattern has improved. Some dogs, however, may still benefit from longer-term support depending on the chronicity and severity of their condition.
