Halscion 85gm

Halscion is a herbal formula designed to regulate adrenal gland activity and brain circulation. It can be used to help middle aged or older dogs who show excessive stress responses such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, pacing, panting, whining and hyperreactivity.

These symptoms can be due to an excessive adrenal gland response similar to PTSD in humans. When used consistently over a period of several days to weeks, Halscion supports normal adrenal gland activity and brain circulation. Halscion also reduces blood flow to the emotional parts of the brain such as the amygdala, while increasing it to other parts to improve cognition.

Halscion can also be helpful to increase liver blood flow to improve inflammation.

This formula often pairs well with Galvanex for anxiety which stimulates the adrenals to produce more cortisol (but not excessive).

*Contraindications: Hascion is a very safe formula, but use should be avoided in pregnancy.

**Please note, Vets are taught, common things occur commonly. In this case, Halscion is almost always going to be a good idea for an older dog with anxiety however there are exceptions. A hands on visit with your integrative vet will help refine the herbs best for your pet.

Halscion is an organically grown concentrated herbal extract in powdered form.

To use, just fold the herbs into your pet's food, or shake them up with broth or water and pour them over top.

As a suggested starting dose, give twice daily as follows:

• Up to 7kg: 1/8 tsp
• 7-18kg: 1/4 tsp
• 18-30kg: 1/2 tsp
• 30-50kg: 3/4 tsp
• Over 50kg: 1 tsp

If benefits are not seen, the dose can be safely doubled.

One bottle of Halscion lasts over a month for dogs 24kg and under; and for two weeks for 45kg dogs.
