Halscion is a botanical formulation designed to support neurological balance, emotional regulation and calm alertness in dogs experiencing stress, ageing or fluctuating behavioural patterns.

Some dogs struggle to regulate their nervous system responses appropriately. These dogs may appear persistently restless, hypervigilant, reactive or unable to switch off, while others may show age-related behavioural or cognitive changes, altered sleep–wake patterns or difficulty settling appropriately within their environment.

In integrative medicine, these patterns are often associated with dysregulation of neurological signalling, altered stress adaptation and reduced efficiency of circulation and nourishment within the brain and nervous system.

Halscion is formulated to support healthy cerebral circulation while also nourishing systems involved in stress adaptation and neurological regulation. Rather than sedating, it supports calm alertness — helping dogs remain settled while maintaining awareness and engagement with their environment.

Dosing

Halscion is a concentrated powdered herbal extract formulated for easy daily use.

To use, mix the herbs into your pet’s food or combine with broth or water before serving.

Suggested starting dose (twice daily)
Up to 7kg: 1/8 tsp
7–18kg: 1/4 tsp
18–30kg: 1/2 tsp
30–50kg: 3/4 tsp
Over 50kg: 1 tsp

If needed, the dose may be gradually adjusted depending on individual response and veterinary guidance.

Approximate duration
Dogs under 24kg: approximately 1 month per bottle
Dogs around 45kg: approximately 2 weeks per bottle

How long does Halscion usually take to work?

Most dogs that are a good match for Halscion will show some overall improvement within around 2 weeks. Progress is not always linear, and not every symptom necessarily improves at the same rate, but there should generally be noticeable positive change overall.

If little or no improvement is seen after 2 weeks, the formula may not be the best fit for your dog’s individual pattern or presentation.

When the formula is well matched, improvement often continues over time before eventually reaching a plateau. At that stage, some dogs may maintain well on a lower dose, while others may benefit from combining with or transitioning to a different formula as their pattern changes.

Will Halscion sedate my dog?

Usually not. Halscion is not intended to heavily sedate dogs or suppress normal awareness. The formula is designed to support more appropriate neurological regulation and emotional balance while allowing the dog to remain engaged with their environment.
Does my dog need to be fed a fresh food diet for Halscion to work?

No. Halscion may still provide benefit in dogs eating kibble or processed diets.
